Young children have a great potential which needs to be fed and developed. They are very sensitive, open-minded, and absorb everything around them with stunning speed and curiosity. Everything they learn in this period of life is part of the fundamental base of their lives.

Language is the main way of communication for us, but children use many different methods. Children are given as many possibilities to express themselves and interact with each other as possible. Whatever they do: painting, movements, role plays, laughter, silence… everything is regarded as self-expression and merits a reaction. The more ways of communicating, the better the comprehension. Our teachers are inspired by respecting and nonviolent communication.

Young children learn their language naturally in daily situations and games. Communication happens at many levels simultaneously and therefore is illustrative and comprehensible for everybody. In early childhood our language compartments develop in our brains in a natural way. That is why it is so natural and easy for young children to communicate in more languages. The language learning in the preschool could be compared to the one in a bilingual family. Some teachers speak only English and some only Czech so the children are motivated to communicate in both languages.

Relationships within the group of children and teachers are key factors in their development and learning. Therefore we aim to create an environment with a strong feeling of community and encourage the harmony of reciprocal relationships, respect and cooperation. The child needs to feel security, support and understanding when away from his/her family too.

Creativity and fantasy has its own world for children which opens their vision and understanding of the world to us, providing incredible potential for the development of their creativity and thinking. The environment of the preschool encourages children to create and experiment. There are various materials and ideas at their hands and all their production is welcome with enthusiasm and great support.

The school and the culture
Separate the head from the body.
They tell the child;
To think without hands
To do without head
To listen and not to speak
To understand without joy
To love and to marvel
Only at Easter and Christmas
They tell the child:
To discover the world already there
And of the hundred
They steal ninety-nine.
They tell the child:
That work and play
Reality and fantasy
Science and imagination
Sky and earth
Reason and dream
Are things
That do not belong together
And thus they tell the child
That the hundred is not there
The child says: NO WAY the hundred is there--
